General Information


The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute for Production Technology has 4 guest rooms and a flat at its disposal. Breakfirst is taken in "KantineI V".
Others will be housed at Dalum Agricultural College, situatet approximatly 2 km from the university. Participants will be picked up every morning at 9 am. Breakfirst is from 7.30 to 8.00.
When leaving the room must be vacated at 9 am.

Library Facilities
Participants, who wish to use the mathematical library, situated at IMADA, can register at the desk there.

Computing Facilities
Computers (Unix and Windows NT) are to be found at IMADA, first floor above the group rooms. There will be set up accounts for all participants.

Telephone and Fax
For incomming messages for participants use the secretariat at IMADA, telephone number 6550 2389 and fax number 6593 2691. If participants wish to use a telephone during the workshop, this can be found at the secretariat at IMADA.

A photocopier is available at IMADA.

If you wish to send official mail, please see one of the organisers.

After vacating you room, luggage can be left at MIP, where there is a lockable room.

Parking is avaliable on campus. Use P2 and entrance L. (See Campus Map)

There are two main shopping centres near the university, BILKA and Rosengaardscentret. Many more shops can be found in the City Centre.

From the airport: there are fast trains from Copenhagen Airport to Odense. The trip lasts approximatly 1½ hours.
From Odense Station to Campus there are busses. Bus number 41 leave the station 15 minutes to the hour on Sundays. The bus goes directly to MIP, which is the last stop.(MIP is the grey building, no. 33, to the far right at the Campus Map). The price is DKK 10.
Taxis are an alternative. It costs approximatly DKK 100 from the station to Campus. The telephone number for Odense Taxa is 6615 4415.

Eating at restaurants is quite expensive in Denmark although there are several to choose from.
In Rosengaardscentret there are several small and relatively cheap restaurants including a McDonald.
