An Elevator Queueing Problem ispublished: pub subjects: transport studygroups: mpi19 companyname: UTRC full_text_status: public abstract: Various aspects of the behavior and dispatching of elevators (lifts) were studied. Monte Carlo simulation was used to study the statistics of the several models for the peak demand at uppeak times. Analytical models problems were used to prove or disprove whether schemes were optimal. A mostly integer programming problem was formulated but not studied further. date: 2003 related_url_url: http://eaton.math.rpi.edu/Faculty/Schwendeman/Workshop/MPI.html citation: Braun, Richard and Doytchinov, Bogdan and Fitt, Alistair and Pennell, Stephen and Please, Colin and Srinivasan, Ravi and Servatius, Hermann and Witelski, Thomas (2003) Need a Lift?
